Updated Tuesday November 21, 2017 by David Alldredge.

The 10U Boys Select soccer team traveled to Dothan this past weekend to compete in the ARPA State Tournament.  This was the first Eastern team in recent memory to compete in the ARPA tournament and the team represented Eastern well.  The tournament was comprised of two round robin groups of 4 with the winner of each group advancing to the finals.  The Eastern team swept their group games with scores of 4-1, 3-0, and 7-1 to setup a final with the tournament host on Sunday afternoon.  The final was a close game with the Dothan team winning 4-2, giving Eastern a well deserved second place finish. Congratulation to the players, coaches, and parents for representing Eastern and the City of Huntsville.

The Select team was comprised of Keegan Abath, Cameron Carney, Jack Carter, Jase Crouch, Jack Gruber, Kaleb Hammond, Will Jones, Evan McClure, Ian Moore, Cole Purdin and Ethan Roundtree. Coaches were Clay Roundtree, Mike Carney, and Jonathan Gruber.
